Our Recommended Financial (and Related) Podcasts and Sites
Looking for a fresh perspective on finances?
There are a LOT of financial blogs and podcasts out there, and while we haven’t tried listening to them all, we have tried quite a few.
These sites linked here all provide tons of value and lots of great ideas and advice for getting your house (both literally and figuratively) in order.
*Please note that many of these are not Christian podcasts, so you will not find advice such as tithing, and there may be some swearing. Just so you’re forewarned.

In no certain order, here are our favorite financial and related podcasts.
48 Days to the Work You Love with Dan Miller – for finding work that is meaningful, purposeful, and profitable. Dan is both a psychologist and a life coach, and has used his skills and talents in so many different inventive ways over his life. He has many good ideas to help the listener get started making money and finding the work you love so you never have to work a day in the rest of your life. And if you buy his book by the same name, he has a LOT of free downloadable resources he shares, too!
Financial Grownup with Bobbi Rebell – she’s a Certified Financial Planner and a fellow Gen-X-er. I love how short, no-nonsense, and to-the-point her podcasts are. She makes them bite-size so if you don’t have a whole hour to spend, you don’t have to cut it off in the middle. And she gives actionable advice for the listener based on the topic the guest brings.
Choose Financial Independence with Brad Barrett and Jonathan Mendonsa. These are quite a bit longer than Bobbi’s. They tend to chat a lot. One of my favorite reasons for listening to them is that Brad is a fellow pharmacist! Healthcare workers? You, too, can have a side-hustle.
Profit Boss with Hilary Hendershott. Also a Certified Financial Planner for more than 20 years – she helps women like us be the boss of their own profits. She shares a lot of knowledge from her expertise and experiences. You’ll want to take notes – she packs a lot into an episode. Start with episode 77, her 7 Steps to Wealth.
Simple Life Together with Dan and Vanessa Hayes – for simplifying your life. This was the first podcast I started listening to which ended up leading me to the others. Their podcast is about decluttering and simplifying, but it ends up leading to having more spending money when you simplify, I have found.
Two other, non-podcast financial sites we have gleaned tips from:
One is Mr Money Mustache’s blog. Several of the other financial bloggers also mention his material in their podcasts.
The other is our friends at KillTheCableBill.com. They have a great list of options for if you’re looking to finally cut the cord and ditch cable and satellite TV. Be sure to browse around their site – they have some great info on related topics, as well.
