Are you getting enough Vitamin D?
Hopefully you get your annual physical exam with labs, and your doctor is checking your Vitamin D level.

How can you get Vitamin D?
- Drink milk.
- Eat foods that have vitamin D in them.
- Get some sun. Don’t forget the sunscreen. Here is our recommended vegan sunscreen, also.
(This last method is not recommended if you are taking or using a medicine that will cause photosensitivity – or sensitivity to sunlight – meaning you could burn much more easily while using that medicine.)
Have You Recently Lost Weight?
If you have recently lost quite a bit of weight, have your Vitamin D level rechecked.
Vitamin D is one of the 4 fat-soluble vitamins.
Which means it can go into our fat stores.
And when fat is released? So is the Vitamin D – back into the bloodstream.
You won’t want to keep taking a supplement if your doctor says your level is fine and there is no medical reason to take it.
As always, discuss this information with your doctor.
